St. Regis hotel opens in Dubai

Dubai’s first hotel under Starwood Hotels’ St. Regis luxury brand has opened.

The 234-room hotel is part of the city’s Al Habtoor City urban resort, which will eventually include hotels with Starwood’s W and Westin brands.

St. Regis Dubai will provide shuttles for its guests via a fleet of Bentleys. Its lobby includes a chandelier with 1,200 pieces of hand-cut crystal.

The hotel, which has eight restaurants, includes a 10,000-square-foot Royal Suite and next year will add a Bentley Suite with the type of leather finishes and wood veneers found in Bentley automobiles.
